Booking Terms and Conditions
These are the headline terms on which we take bookings. The full booking conditions — including the exact deposit, the balance date and the cancellation schedule — are sent to you in writing with your booking confirmation, before you are asked to pay anything.
The contract
A booking becomes a contract between you and Travelmonke Tours and Travel, trading as Travelmonke, once we have confirmed it in writing and received your deposit.
Payment
A deposit confirms your booking and your dates. The balance is due before departure. We state both amounts, the due date and the accepted payment methods in writing before you pay anything, and park fees are always shown as a separate line rather than folded into a single headline number.
If you cancel
Our cancellation terms are tied to how much notice you give, and are set out in full in your booking confirmation. Tell us as early as you can: with enough notice, moving your dates is often possible where cancelling outright is not.
If we cancel
If we cancel a confirmed trek — for example because the park closes, or because conditions make a departure unsafe — you are offered a full refund or a rebooking on dates that suit you.
Changing your dates
Usually possible, subject to permits and crew availability. Any cost is confirmed in writing before you commit to it.
Insurance
You must hold travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking, and glacier travel where your itinerary includes it. We ask to see proof before departure. Your responsibilities
Arriving with the fitness and equipment your chosen trek requires, disclosing any medical condition that could affect you at altitude, and following your guide's instructions on the mountain — including a decision to turn back.
