About Rwenzori Treks

Rwenzori Treks is the Rwenzori specialism of Travelmonke Tours and Travel, a tour operator based in Kampala and licensed by the Uganda Tourism Board under UTB/RTT/TT/2025/101816.

Who we are

We are a Kampala-based operator focused specifically on the Rwenzori Mountains, rather than a general safari company that happens to also sell Rwenzori treks. That focus is deliberate — we think the range deserves an operator that treats it as the main event, not an add-on to a broader Uganda catalogue.

Our licence

Our UTB licence is a real, checkable tour and travel operating credential. — it is important to us to state clearly and accurately what that licence does and does not cover, rather than let a reader assume it implies more than it does.

Where we operate

Uganda's Rwenzori Mountains, plus a small set of genuine combination itineraries — gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, and nearby savanna parks — for travellers extending a Rwenzori trip elsewhere in the country.

How we work on the mountain

The Rwenzori's two main trails are operated by other established Ugandan companies; our own specific role — whether as booking agent, ground operator, or in some other capacity — is being finalised and will be stated here plainly.
