Semuliki National Park

Nestled in the western part of the country on the edge of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Semuliki National Park is an absolute paradise for nature-lovers on a Rwenzori Trekking safari. The lush forests and dense undergrowth are a haven for a plethora of bird species, while the sun bouncing off the meandering Semuliki River is a delight to witness. Nearby, the powerful Sempaya hot springs burst up through gaps in the ground, adding to the incredible beauty of this biodiversity hotspot.

As well as its abundance of wildlife, Semuliki National Park is also home to a number of local communities, including the Basua people, who live within the forest as hunter-gatherers.
