John Matte Hut (3.420 m)

John Matte Hut (3.420 m)

John Matte Hut is a 3 room wooden building situated on a hillside near the banks of River Bujuku. Named in honor of the founding president of the Mountain Club of Uganda, John Matte, it is the destination reached after the second day of trekking along the Central Circuit, which is considered the most difficult part of the trekking. A pit latrine is also available at the hut for use.
