If you’re looking to climb the Rwenzori Mountains but don’t want to go all the way to the top, check out the Mount Luigi Di Savoia tour. It’s got lots of snow and a long trek to the summit, our expert Rwenzori guides will be there for you as you undertake your adventure. The peak was named by Abruzzi, who is known for making the first ascent of Mt. St. Elias and climbing high on K2. He never made it to the summit of Luigi Di Savoia, but his expedition journey of the Rwenzori peaks is why they recommend the 10-day trekking trip.
This massif is a big ridge with lots of peaks, including Stairs Peak (4545 m.), Sella Peak (4627 m.) and Weismann Peak (4620 m.). There’s a 6-day trek that’ll take you to Weismann Peak. The simplest way to climb it is from Freshfield Pass, where you can head up the northern side of Sella Peak to reach the top. It’s the smallest of the six massifs and it was the first one to lose its glaciers.
