Albert Peak is located in the Rwenzori Mountains National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and it’s part of Mount Stanley, the highest mountain in Uganda and DR Congo and the third-highest peak in Africa after Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya. Albert Peak is the third-highest of the subsidiary summits with an altitude of 5,087m, after Margherita (5,109m) and Alexandra (5,091m).
Other peaks on Mount Stanley include Savoia (4,977m), Ellena (4,968m), Elizabeth (4,929m), Phillip (4,920m), Moebius (4,916m) and Great Tooth (4,603m).
